NOTICE OF OPEN POSITION
Assistant Beverage Manager


DEPARTMENT:        Food and Beverage                             
STATUS:            Non-Exempt               
REPORTS TO:        Beverage Manager           

JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Beverage Manager is responsible to assist the Beverage Manager with all front-of-the-house beverage operations. This position assists with the oversight of the bars and beverage service and is responsible for all bar menus, beverage specials, inventory, and beverage orders. The Beverage Assistant Manager will assist with all aspects of the beverage team and oversee beverage supervisors, bartenders, cocktail servers, barbacks, and assisting positions. The Beverage Assistant Manager must be able to work varied and extended hours including holidays, weekends, evenings, and special events. They are responsible for assisting in the training of the beverage trainers. Monitors bartender pour and pour costs, guest and Casino floor service, and resolves guest complaints. The Beverage Assistant Manager ensures daily the highest quality of hospitality to provide an excellent guest experience.
Will maintain the highest level of service standards at all times to provide the best dining experience in the area. Our leadership team will demonstrate and promote our We-Ko-Pa-Way Service Culture at all times.
    
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Two years in a bar or restaurant supervisor or manager role or above is required. 
Strong leadership and communication skills
Self-motivated with attention to detail
Knowledge of beverage operations is required.
Strong knowledge of cocktail development, wine, and beer
Strong understanding of beverage procurement, analysis, costing, and rotation
Strong knowledge of Arizona or comparable liquor laws
Must be certified or obtain certification and training in Title IV and Title 31
4-diamond resort or casino experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:
Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the Casino Resort We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye.
Accountable to all standards set forth in the We-Ko-Pa Way Casino Resort service guide.
Assists the Beverage Manager with the oversight of all beverage operations and staffing including scheduling, cocktail development, wine program, and upselling standards.
Maintains all beverage inventory during their shift for maximum efficiency.
Monitors and maintains beverage costs for the department through strategic pricing, opportunity buying, and waste control.
Monitors drink accuracy and waste to ensure proper beverage controls through the use of jiggers, perfect pour units, and monthly cost analysis.
Assign team member responsibilities on a daily basis including side work, deep cleaning, and front-of-house sanitation.
Maintains a clean-as-you-go standard in all outlets.
Oversees guest satisfaction by ensuring the presence of service on the casino floor and in all bars.
Addresses any and all food or service-related guest issues and utilizes creativity and resources available to maintain optimum satisfaction.
Works on the floor 90% of the time with a “hands-on” mentality for guest service.
Must be knowledgeable and enforce all elements of IHS health department standards.
Must receive and have a current Food Handlers Card at all times.
Must complete the Management Title IV and Title 31 training through Human Resources
Assists in banquet and catering events for the department.
Oversees menus and maintains the accuracy of online resources.
Performs other related duties as required by the department.
Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

WORK CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
Bend, reach, stand, and walk for 34-66% of the workday.
Eye/hand coordination for 34-66% of the workday.
Exposed to hot/cold temperatures for 34-66% of the workday.
Exposed to dust for 1-33% of the workday.
Sit for 1-33% of the workday.
Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
While working on the casino floor, the employee is exposed to high levels of noise daily.
