We are growing our legal team and are seeking an Experienced Paralegal to join our team!

This position plays an integral role in the caseload management of our law office. We are looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented, take-ownership professional that is patient and kind to people. Experience tells us a person with an entrepreneurial background or one with strong analytical and organizational skills thrives in this position.  This person should enjoy formatting documents and have an enthusiasm for a well-organized file, as well as, be proficient in time management and enjoy being part of a team. We are located in North Central San Antonio.

This position will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team that is fulfilled by serving our community and continually growing ourselves individually. We are diligent in cross-training to ensure we can enjoy a vacation without work piling up upon our return. We are team-oriented in our firm goals, and we cheer each other on in our individual goals.   • Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum three years of work experience in a paralegal position.
    • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of formal education and relevant work experience.
    • Previous experience with legal software and CRM is a must. (specify experience in cover letter)
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Proficient in using video conferencing software, such as Zoom
    • Demonstrated record of managing people or projects: evidence of organizational and communication skills in a professional setting
    • Typing 70-100 words per minute
  • Preferred:
    • Paralegal Certificate
    • Experience working in the area of estate planning and probate.
    • Experience with CLIO Manage and Clio Grow software.
    • Experience with legal filing procedures in surrounding counties.
    • Paralegal certification
    • Active notary status

Duties and responsibilities:

Support leadership initiatives to create a culture of collaboration and respect. Demonstrate a level of professionalism in meetings with staff, clients, and inter-office communications consistent with Weisinger Law Firm culture.

1. Case Management functions (percent effort in a typical week, 50%):

  • Formatting Estate Planning Documents
  • Communicate with county courthouses to coordinate and schedule hearings
  • Assist in preparing homestead applications, deeds, and drafting letters for attorneys
  • Update and manage Case Management System (Clio Manage)
  • Witnessing/notarizing the signing of documents
  • Preparing documents to close client matters
  • Courthouse runs to pick up and drop off documents
  •  Provide client care and attention through written and verbal communications

2. Coordination functions (percent effort in a typical week, 50%):

  • Manage files of business electronic and physical documents.
    • Copy, scan, collate, file, and otherwise assemble and store files and documents for record-keeping and retrieval
    • Draft correspondence and process other forms and documents for signature or distribution
    • Prepare and post certified mail of legal documents to clients and courthouse/legal entities.

  • Experience and established record in completing work accurately, efficiently, and timely with minimal supervision. Commitment to meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions.

    • Pay is based on years of experience, skills, and abilities. Paralegal I pay ranges from $21-$24, and Paralegal II ranges from $25-$27.
