Overview
The Electrical Career Specialist, as part of Weifield’s Electrical Career Outreach initiative, is responsible for creating strong partnerships across many platforms to promote Weifield, the electrical construction industry and assist with the recruitment of current and future electricians working for the Weifield Group companies. This roll will identify, deploy, and execute effective education and staffing strategies in partnership with all levels of leadership and Human Resources team to identify and secure new talent. Effectively coordinates with Recruiting team on potential opportunities, supplying leads and support. Works with Leadership team to determine current and future infrastructure requirements, targeting marketing and educational efforts to achieve these goals. Requires 15+ years of experience related to electrical field operations and construction projects.

Job Specific Responsibilities
+ Represents Weifield to construction trade/vocational schools, colleges/universities, high schools, and STEM/technical schools
+ Attends career fairs and college recruiting events
+ Participates in opportunities to demonstrate electrical trade specific skills (live, virtual)
+ Assists the Weifield Recruiting Team by providing candidates and interviewing candidates as necessary
+ Participate in volunteer opportunities within all company regions
+ Participate in electrical industry organizations including IEC, ABC, CITC, etc. to help promote Weifield and our profession
+ Help develop and participate in new hire orientation, bootcamp and onboarding as needed
+ Participates in monthly foreman meetings in all regions to educate and assist field leaders in being good stewards for Weifield
+ This position will cover these items in all regions Weifield operates in, including CO, WY, TX and TN, therefore travel will be required for this role
+ Identify, deploy, and execute effective strategies to secure high quality hires
+ Develop partnerships with hiring managers and hiring teams to ensure consistent and high-quality hiring practices and execution. Understands business needs and position requirements and develops process to support identification within candidate pool, including sourcing of passive candidates through networking opportunities and trade specific groups.
+ Identifies and creates appropriate support material for marketing and educational efforts
Qualifications/Skills Required
+ Proven experience within the construction industry, electrical construction preferred
+ 15+ years field operations and construction projects
+ Outstanding organizational and leadership skills to initiate and develop partnerships within Universities, STEM Programs/Trade Schools, High Schools, and other educational programs to assist in funneling new candidates consistently.
+ Decision making and problem-solving aptitude
+ Public relations skills
+ Safety and quality skills — be a voice for safety and drive every ounce of quality thinking and execution possible; demonstrates Weifield’s investment in safety as a top priority
+ Strong work ethic
+ Minimum three five of relevant experience, with three years proven experience training others or being able to advocate for the electrical trades field
+ Experience using Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) strongly preferred
+ Experience developing globalized content and applying localization approach for context-specific audiences preferred.
+ Experience translating technical-functional content into an enjoyable and consumable user experience.
+ Proven ability to take initiative and drive company mission, vision, values while supporting the Recruiting team efforts
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Team player with experience working across multidisciplinary teams with multiple stakeholders.
+ Consistently demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
+ Strong electrical background: Master Electrician strongly preferred
Reporting
The Electrical Career Specialist will report to the EVP of Construction Support and Service.
Compensation Package
Start Date: TBD
Status: Full-time, Exempt Salaried
Pay Rate: $90K- 120K Annually
Employee Health Insurance: Healthcare 100% of family medical “Base Plan” by WGC 1st of the month following date of hire.
Voluntary Dental/Vision Insurance: Paid by employee based on coverage selection 1st of the month following date of hire.
HSA Plan: Employer contributes up to $400 annually in quarterly contributions of $100. Individual can contribute to max of $3750 or $7200 for family.
PTO: FTO
401k/Safe Harbor: Participate after 60 days. Weifield matches 100% of investment up to 4% after one year of consistent employment.
Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance of $875/month
Cell Phone: Company cell phone or cell phone allowance of $150/month
Background Check/ Drug Test Required: Yes
Work Schedule: 7AM- 5PM Monday through Friday.
Due to the nature of this position additional time may be needed to complete work activities with no additional compensation.
Current Driver’s License Required: Yes
Journeyman Electrician License: Required
