Ensure the CTU schedules, policies and procedures are being followed on your shift. Report all discrepancies to residential manager.
Monitor and dispense Pre-Packaged Medication Dispensing as Prescribed with 100% accuracy. Report all discrepancies to residential manager.
Prepare for the shift by reading and documenting all patient names and times of doses.
Ensure that we are coordinating with pharmacy on intakes, discharges and ensuring we have all client meds at CTU before pharmacy closes for the day.
Clearly communicate all questions/concerns to the Supervisor and nurses.
Support CTU clinical program and daily schedule by providing activities educational group materials, etc. Ensuring residential support staff are adhering to the CTU Group/Activity Schedule.
Enforcing rules and report all discrepancies to residential manager.
Demonstrate effective communication skills by responding to emails, following up with supervisor in a professional manner.
Demonstrate effective boundaries with coworkers and clients, not showing favoritism.
Demonstrate professionalism in presentation and behaviors, according to agency policies.
Attend the monthly meetings each month, 3rd Tuesday from 2-4 PM.
Complete the monthly and annual trainings.
Actively monitor and observe clients; complete 15 minute checks on each client.
Answer calls as they come through, gather important information and transfer to the appropriate individuals or teams.
Accurately document and report all mood and behavior changes of clients in daily log and to the MH treatment team.
Stay up to date on required licenses (food handler, CPR, first aide, med pass, Defensive Driving, Workplace Violence Trainings, Compliance training).
Complete incident reports as necessary and inform clinical supervisor and residential manager regarding client concerns so that they can be addressed. Must be done within 24 hours.
Follow the intake and discharge protocols.
Facilitate adherence to the daily schedule.
Coach clients on hygiene, room cleanliness, and encourage clients to attend and participate in daily treatment including groups.
Support CTU clinical program and daily schedule by providing activities and educational group.
Follow the group and activities schedule.
Assist clients by encouraging participating and monitoring client participation for the reward system.
Complete room checks to ensure that clients do not have contraband items in their room on a regular basis.
Transport clients using WHS vehicles to/from CTU. Assessing safety while doing so and taking them on outings.
Assist clients by getting their personal items and ensuring that they are returned to secure area.
Interact in warm, welcoming, and interested manner with clients at all times. Be attentive to clients' requests. Ensure clients feel welcome and cared for at all times.
Engage with clients during free time by coloring with them, playing games, etc.
At appropriate times according to the duty sheet, assist in cleaning the unit, including toilets, sinks, kitchen, dining area, staff desk area, group areas, and anything else as instructed by your supervisor.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
MH, Behavioral Health, patient care setting (6 months)
