Wayne State University; Detroit, Michigan seeks qualified candidates for the faculty position to focus on cellular and molecular immune mechanisms of disease of pregnancy complications. Successful candidates will broaden a nationally recognized research program in this area.
The individuals chosen for these positions will become part of a highly successful, fast-paced research group that focuses on clinical and basic research in perinatal medicine and related disciplines. The goal of this internationally recognized research is to develop novel diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative strategies to reduce adverse pregnancy outcome, infant mortality and handicap. The research agenda focuses on perinatal and placental immunobiology. The candidates will be expected to establish and maintain an energetic, productive research program; engage in interdisciplinary and collaborative research; teach undergraduate and graduate level courses; and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
Ph.D. in Perinatal Immunobiology, Placental Immunology, Molecular Biology or related field is required.
