The Fiber Construction Lead plays a vital role in ensuring quality and timely deliveries of our services building fiber to our customers. Will be a leader with contractors and permit teams. Strong outside plant construction and project management skill.

The Fiber Construction Lead plays a vital role in ensuring quality and timely deliveries of our services building fiber to our customers. Will be a leader with contractors and permit teams. Strong outside plant construction and project management skill.

Responsibilities include: Route planning and designing fiber routes Serve as a single-point of contact between project management and construction execution providing accurate status information on the progress to project management team Lead the internal and external permitting personal Work with Railroads, ODOT, Cities, Counties and Utilities ensuring timely permits Attend coordination and progress meetings Responsible for assigning OSP work orders to field crews and contractors for client projects Accountable for managing the overall field performance, including scope, cost, safety, quality, schedule, implementation and customer satisfaction Perform site pre-inspections and coordinate post-construction audits Work with many different resources; implementation team, network engineers, field personnel and contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery of our services Prepare construction proposals for the sales team Assist in troubleshooting fiber circuits and other services Create and maintain appropriate as build documentation updating the Fiber Engineering Team Analyze and recommend upgrade/expansion strategies Work flexible hours, which would include nights and weekends Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic that can provide high productivity with minimal supervision. Must be able to work independently without supervision Ability to adhere to Local, Federal regulations and Company policies Valid driver's license, auto insurance, with a satisfactory driving record Strong analytical skills - ability to translate data to strategy Ability to think creatively and strategically Strong communication skills are absolutely essential as is a cooperative attitude toward co-workers, customers and contractors Excellent organization and time management skills Visual design skills are a strong plus Ability to interact effectively with other team members.
