Project Manager to provide project management services for database administration and programming projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Must comply with certification requirements identified in DoD 8570.01M for IAM Level II (CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO)
Perform as the lead programmer on the project and the on-site manager of the software development efforts.
Assign tasks to members of the team, monitor progress, ensure that the deliverables are met, and report status to the government representative.
The Project Lead will function as an active member of the software development team, working on programming projects in addition to the project management duties.
Strong inter-personal and communication skills to carry out this assignment with the ability to work as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or other IT related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience and Skills:
Five (5) years of experience in managing software development projects. Experience as the lead programmer on the project and the on-site manager for the software development efforts.
Experience in assigning tasks to members of the team, monitoring progress, ensuring the deliverables are met, and reporting status to the government representative.
The individual shall function as an active member of the software development team, working on programming projects in addition to the project management duties.
Experience implementing software engineering best practices throughout the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, planning, design, development, testing and deployment.
Solid understanding of single page applications.
Experience working with Oracle database, Git version control and AWS services is desirable. Must be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team.
Knowledge of information assurance compliance and information security basics.
Allowable Education Substitution:
One (1) year of relevant work experience in software lifecycle management and project leadership can be substituted for each year of the academic requirements.
The Bachelors Degree shall equal four (4) years for the purpose of this substitution.
Active Secret Clearance or Higher
IAM Level II or equivalent
