Watershed Partners is looking for a motivated individual to join our team for a full-time, permanent position in our Victoria location.

We are a strategy design firm headquartered in Victoria, BC with an office in Toronto, ON. The Watershed, operated by Watershed Partners as part of its vast business offerings, is a co-working space and collaborative design environment that provides a community for independent workers and entrepreneurs.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a keen eye for detail, accuracy and consistency

  • Enjoys solving puzzles

  • Is incredibly organized and efficient

  • Takes initiative and a proactive approach to work

  • Loves spreadsheets and formulas

  • Knows their way around a computer and web-based software

  • Can operating autonomously without extensive direction

  • Is known for finding solutions and creative workarounds for issues

  • Has strong time management skills and is able to manage and adapt to multiple and changing priorities

  • Has a very strong work ethic

  • Has 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a project and operational accounting role

As the Accounting Coordinator, you will:

  • Process, record and reconcile a full range of accounting transactions

  • Support with financial reporting procedures

  • Compile, analyze and reconcile financial data for reports and budgets

  • Administer and maintain project and operational budgets and manage supporting documentation

  • Liaise with management and departments to provide support and to ensure accuracy of revenue forecast, revenue treatment, and cost allocation.

  • Prepare both cost and revenue accruals.

  • Prepare KPI reporting for management.

  • Be proactive in identifying and bringing forward operational efficiencies.

  • Maintain filing systems for financial and administrative records

  • Ensure compliance with various processes and regulations

  • Support with contract administration

  • Support with other administrative tasks as required
