POSITION SUMMARY: Waterlogic seeks a growth-oriented individual as its new Business Intelligence Analyst. The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will work closely with Waterlogic's internal customers to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. He or she will provide data that is accurate, congruent and reliable and is easily accessible. The BI Analyst will educate and train Waterlogic's internal customers to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new form and content for the purpose of analysis and exploring options. Starting from reporting out on existing data, the BI Analyst will quickly be expected to turn current reports into repeatable dashboards which meet up-to-date internal customer needs and can be relied on by Waterlogic's executive leadership team.

This data helps business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results. The BI Analyst will also interact with various development teams, project managers, senior management, and external vendors.

This individual understands how data is turned into information and knowledge and how the knowledge supports and enables key business processes. He or she must develop an in-depth understanding of the business environment and possess both strong analytical and communication skills. Further, the BI Analyst must work well within a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The BI Analyst will be a core member of the Business Intelligence team which maintains the source of truth for Waterlogic's data across multiple systems. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
  • Develop and update technical documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or specialized training/certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically requires 2 years of related work experience
  • Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist
  • Familiarity with Reporting and Visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, leadership and management ability
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and present data
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
