WTI is an internationally recognized, family-owned, design and engineering firm specializing in commercial aquatic venues such as aquatic centers, sport swimming pools, spray pads and waterparks. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our technical design team in Beaver Dam, WI. Ideal candidates will be motivated individuals, able to build relationships among a team of professionals and have a solid understanding of Revit.

Technical Designers play a vital role in the documentation process. Using Revit, they model, assemble, and detail all aspects of an aquatic project such as pools, waterslides, water play activities, and pool filtration equipment. Consideration for codes, accessibility, constructability, and best practice is needed along with creative team collaboration for continuity of design intent. Technical Designers are also responsible for accuracy and user-friendliness of drawings, a key to successful delivery of a quality project.

Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Pursue expert level knowledge of Revit through training and self-exploration
  • Create fully detailed Revit models from schematic design level drawings
  • Create fully detailed construction documents using Revit
  • Assist the team with quality control efforts
  • Collaborate closely with other team members to share workloads
  • Log and update background models and drawings
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Managers to complete mark-ups
  • Adhere to WTI standards and best practices in the creation of drawings
  • Assumes responsibility for other duties assigned or needed

Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Associates degree from a technical college or better is required
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Revit is required
  • Experience in entertainment, theme park, waterpark or AE industries is strongly preferred
  • Experience with design for a professional services company is preferred
  • Works independently on projects, exercising good judgment, decision-making, and when and where to engage others to successfully complete a project
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Interprets and exceeds internal and external client expectations and team needs
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent detail orientation and time management skills
