Essential Functions




One-year (with possible renewal for a second year) postdoctoral teaching fellowship in Musicology/Ethnomusicology at Washington University in St. Louis. Our postdoctoral program carries a teaching expectation of two courses per semester. Anticipated courses: Popular Music in American Culture (introductory undergraduate level); Freshman Seminar on a USAmerican popular music topic; upper-level undergraduate course on a USAmerican music topic. Fellows are expected to develop and pursue a research agenda with mentoring from appropriate senior faculty and to participate fully in the intellectual and social life of the department.

Required Qualifications




Ph.D., earned before the start of the Fall semester 2019.

Salary Range




Base pay commensurate with experience.
