VP Investment Research Analyst (Power/Energy/additional sectors)

Client:  Global Credit Asset Management firm with over $45+ Billion of AUM.

 Responsibilities:

·         Analyze, underwrite, monitor and make buy/sell recommendations on a portfolio of 35 credits across 2-4 industry sectors

·         Lead due diligence and oversee preparation of financial models for new primary and secondary market credits in designated industries

·         Make recommendations to Investment Committee

·         Develop and maintain industry expertise

·         Monitor developments in industries to assess impact on value of portfolio assets and to determine any immediate action steps

·         Monitor incoming obligor reporting to identify potential challenges and trading opportunities

·         Monitor borrower financial reporting, covenant compliance and performance against plan

·         Assess requests from borrowers for credit agreement amendments, waivers, and consents and make related recommendations to                  credit committee

·         Prepare and present annual industry portfolio reviews

·         Make buy/sell recommendations to Investment Committee and Portfolio Managers.

·         Identify industry and company trends and opportunities to enhance portfolio composition using relative value analysis across the                       portfolio.

·         Supervise / Mentor junior analyst

 Requirements:

·         5+ years of relevant experience

·         Prior buy-side or sell side experience with, CLO's, Bank Loans, Bonds required

·         MBA / CFA strong plus

·         Bank Credit training a strong plus

·         Management experience a strong plus

·         Power/energy sector experience required
