Job Description The Patient Enrollment Coordinator position is an entry level position within the Patient Enrollment Department at Wake Research and enjoys significant opportunities for career development and growth. This position is on-site during regular business hours (8am-5pm), Monday through Friday. Remote work arrangements are not available for this position. The Patient Enrollment Coordinator has primary responsibility and accountability for the timely enrollment of patients/study participants for all clinical research studies at their assigned site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain full ownership and accountability for contacting potential study participants from new submission forms from various marketing/advertising channels, database outbound call lists, 3rd- party patient recruitment vendors, and community outreach efforts. Conduct pre-screening interviews for potential study participants via various communication channels including phone calls, text messages, and emails, to determine potential eligibility for study participation. Input and record patient information into Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) database including demographic information, medical conditions, medication history, surgical procedures, lifestyle information, among others, as dictated by study protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Schedule in-person screening visits at the research site for pre-qualified patients based on responses to pre-screening interview questions. Record and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on outcomes for contact attempts, eligibility assessments, and scheduled screening appointments. Build and maintain ongoing relationships with potential study participants, maintain open lines of communication, and develop and maintain wait lists for upcoming and future studies. Consistently provide outstanding customer service with every patient interaction. Attend and participate in Site Initiation Visits (SIVs), complete required protocol trainings, and maintain credentialling requirements, to be appropriately delegated to the patient recruitment function for each protocol per Sponsor guidelines and Wake Research SOPs. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, FDA, GCP, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines, local regulations, and Wake Research SOPs and standards of excellence.
