Office Assistant - Apartments - Los Angeles

WSH Management is currently seeking an Office Assistant to join our growing team in Los Angeles!

The Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting office staff including the property manager at an 200-unit senior apartment community in Los Angeles, CA. This person will complete various tasks such as answering phone, accepting messages and assisting with the planning of residents events. The office assistant will also assist with renewals, update the board with resident package information, file resident documents and vendor documents and invoices. Code and enter bills promptly. Assist residents with work orders and concerns.

WSH Management has managed senior and multi-family properties since we began operations 19 years ago and are very experienced in the management of both Affordable and Market Rate Apartment Communities. We currently manage over 60 properties in California and have over 100 employees. Come join us!

Responsibilities:

  • Receive all telephone calls and in-person visits.
  • Listen to resident requests, concerns and comments.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Provide general clerical assistance to property offices.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with all applicable Affordable Housing programs.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • A minimum one-year experience in a customer service-related industry or one year apartment leasing experience or a combination of accounting skills/education with office support and customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and sales ability.
  • Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to community team.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Competence in operation of telephone, business calculator, copy machine, facsimile, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and MS Outlook and community software.
  • Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management).

Full-Time: 40 hours per week

Salary: $17.00 hour
