NewLane Finance is seeking a candidate who will be responsible for working in direct collaboration with the Chief Data Engineer/DBA. This position serves as an exciting opportunity to obtain hands-on experience deconstructing ETL in RedPoint and database development. This person will also support NewLane’s existing Enterprise Data Warehouse environment and the administration and management of information flow from internal and external data sources to assure the integrity of the System of Record for customer data.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop T-SQL code to create tables, views, functions and stored procedures.

+ Support the management of data flows including documentation and automation of data sources and data movement through the use of Red Point Global, a leading ETL tool.

+ Assist in design of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (“EDW”) along with the deployment of the data warehouse to data marts to support to use of the company’s BI tool Tableau.

+ Responsible for written requirements specifications and data workflows (Business and Functional), from initial creation, through change management and solution delivery.

+ Work with Data Scientists on data prep and staging to NewLane EDW

Technical Knowledge:

+ Proficient in Microsoft SSIS or similar ETL tool, Tableau, Microsoft SQL Server database design/development with the understanding of operational vs analytical data.

+ Sound data architecture and logical / physical database modelling background

Qualifications:

+ Experience with ETL data automation procedures

+ Strong verbal and written communications skills, listening and teamwork skills, and effective presentation skills.

+ Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and business units of the organization.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

+ Excellent listening and interpersonal skills required.

+ Organized and ability to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

Required:

+ Two to Five years of experience in managing a relational database environment

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

+ Experience with ETL toolset.
