Job Description

WS Communications is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dynamic Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative to join our inside team located in Collinsville, IL.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative is primarily responsible for facilitating sales by processing orders and quotes while providing application and product expertise, as well as troubleshooting issues with end-users.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and work directly with our resellers, end-users, and prospective customers to provide application/product support, troubleshooting, quotes, literature, etc.

  • Make outgoing phone calls daily to current and prospective resellers and end-users.

  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with customers.

  • Provide assistance to Sales Manager and Outside Sales personnel as required – provide timely feedback and requested information.

  • Learn multiple radio programming software applications. (Training will be provided.)

  • Create programming files and program radios as needed. (Training will be provided.)

  • Program and send out radios and accessories for prospective customers to try.

  • Diagnose radio and accessory returns or repairs.

  • Perform light duty repairs (Training will be provided.)

  • Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries and input all orders into the order entry system in a timely manner.

  • Develop a strong sense of urgency in following up with quotes, test radios, and sales leads.

  • Perform data entry of products into a reseller or end-user collection software.

  • Participate in quarterly inventory counts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • An Associate Degree is preferred and/or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, distribution & customer service.

  • Extremely organized

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and perform work in required time frames.

  • Proficient PC Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Some knowledge of QuickBooks.

  • Ability to lift 40-50 lb. boxes

  • Minimal travel (less than 5%). May have to travel to tradeshows, conferences, or training.
