Job Description

OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for processing and categorizing retail products for a specific vendor in a warehouse returns department, including inspection, recording data, and disposition per established standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that returned products are processed and made available to be returned to inventory as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • Follow written guidelines as to classification of returned products and subsequent final disposition
  • Comfortable training on a WMS specific to vendor.
  • Inputting of product identification data into computer system and sorting of product to zones indicated, utilizing a scanner
  • Understand all staging areas and disposition codes to ensure that staff is following processes established for the staging of returning product
  • Support and facilitate training (and cross-training) of all employees
  • Responsible for staging saleable merchandise by a put away zone and tracking unsaleable merchandise with a bar-coded label
  • All work to be performed based on customer specifications
  • Generate and utilize system reports
  • Routing domestic and international shipments per vendor routing guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned as necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Data entry skills, experience and knowledge of using a computer, warehouse management systems knowledge “WMS” is required
  • Working knowledge of Windows Applications including Word,Office, Excel and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and productivity are key
  • Ability to read and apply written instructions from a manual, memos or short correspondence
  • Lead/Supervisory experience
  • Ability to learn quickly and a willingness to ask appropriate questions as needed.
  • Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with RF scanner
  • Previous work experience in a 3PL environment is helpful
  • Strong organization skills and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
  • Bilingual Spanish for verbal and written communication
  • The ability to create and maintain positive relationships with both external customers and internal departments

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday during regular business hours. This position may require long hours and some weekend work as necessary to meet the business obligations.

This role also requires the ability to lift items, bend, or stand as necessary.

The environmental characteristic for this position is a warehouse setting.

Candidates must comply with OSHA standards.'
