Job Description

What were looking for:

The Account Director is a vital leader within the WITHIN Creative Department. This person is a strong leader, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and direct teams effectively. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of full-funnel advertising, an eye for opportunity, and a passion for creativity. The Account Directors main charge is to manage and grow a portfolio of client accounts, achieving client business needs while maintaining the highest quality of creative output, and fostering the growth and longevity of the internal WITHIN team under their purview.

What youll handle:

  • Act as the lead steward for a team of Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, and Account Coordinators across a portfolio of clients.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration across project management, strategy, creative, production, and media teams to drive successful team synergy.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative internal and external relationships, serving as a key point person for all high-level client communication across your client portfolio, including regular updates to the more senior client-agency partners
  • Guide each client team in developing short and long term vision for account growth by working to develop client goals and benchmarks.
  • Manage and develop internal reports and forecasts for client health and growth across client portfolio.
  • Maintain ownership over the financial health of your client portfolio, including accurate budget tracking, finance reconciliation, and resource allocation review to ensure that each account maintains a healthy payroll to revenue.
  • Manage staffing allocations and flighting to ensure team and agency are set up for success while working efficiently and profitably
  • Create staff plans and proposals for statements of work with an informed point of view
  • Act as the senior Point of Contact in client meetings, ensure work is delivered on time, on brief, and within budget, and take a proactive and transparent approach should the team not be able to deliver within the budget/timeline provided
  • Lead 360 review process for each Account role under your purview.


  • 7+ years in an agency or related environment (marketing, brand team, etc.)
  • Experience in full 360 integrated creative work, including but not limited to digital, social, TV, OOH, and media campaigns
  • Advanced communication + presentation skills, ability to communicate clearly & effectively
  • Experience in effective account housekeeping (timelines and budget development and management)
  • Strong decision maker, business and results oriented
  • Strong financial acumen to balance client portfolios, scopes, and team allocations
  • Passionate interest in growing clients businesses as a trusted business partner
  • High creative output standards, with an expectation that the full team will be passionate, focused, and committed to creating work that is best-in-class and effective
