Objective:
Ensure execution of a manufacturing approach that produces a finished product meeting customer requirement while remaining within the established budgets and meeting or exceeding the customer's schedule requirements.

Objective:
Ensure execution of a manufacturing approach that produces a finished product meeting customer requirement while remaining within the established budgets and meeting or exceeding the customer's schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to manage jobs of varying degrees of complexity across one or more manufacturing divisions (aerospace, commercial and/or machining).
- Developing manufacturing approach by working with more senior project managers, estimators, production consultants/ experts, QA personnel, customer, etc., that produces a finished product that meets/exceeds customer requirements and within the budgets established by the estimators.
- Developing schedule for jobs by working with Production Scheduler, more senior project managers, estimators, production consultants/experts, customer, etc. that meets customer requirements/ schedule established by the estimators.
- Developing material needs of job (selection of material types, sources, processing, budgets, etc.) by working with Materials Planners, Purchasing Agents, estimators, more senior project managers, production consultants/experts, customer, etc. that meets/exceeds customer requirements and within the budgets established by the estimators.
- Developing required technical drawings needed for job by working with CAD specialists (as required), more senior project managers, production consultants/experts, QA personnel, customer, etc.
- Preparing necessary documentation/ work packages for shop use, consisting of JTSs, quality logs, BOMs, and preparing final acceptance paperwork per customer requirements, etc.
- Interacting with and coordinating the activities of subcontractors by working with more senior project managers, production consultants/experts, QA personnel, estimators, customer, etc.
- Performing inspections of work performed, assessing conformance of job to customer requirements, and ensuring that plans/schedules are followed.
- Acting as the WB representative for all customer interactions for the job (progress/status reports, problem resolution, schedule concerns, etc.) and resolving issues as needed.
- Monitoring the financial performance of the job to ensure that company-established goals for job profitability are met/exceeded.

- Knowledge of material characteristics as it pertains to fabrication and machining.
- Knowledge of equipment capabilities and selection.
- Knowledge of weld procedures, testing, and certifications.
- Knowledge of other processes (coating, plating, heat treating, sandblasting, load testing)
Abilities:
- Ability to research through the Internet and various other sources to identify suppliers and products.
- Ability to undertake additional responsibilities at the discretion of the Director of Operations.
- Ability to make sound and proper decisions by drawing on professional expertise.
- Ability to cooperate, work and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, and outside contacts.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize workload to accomplish goals.
- Ability to initiate projects, anticipate changes, set new priorities, follow through and meet deadlines.
- Ability to converse and understand terminology related to the metal fabrication and machining business.

- The worker is subject to noise that may require ear plugs.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
High School Diploma required.
- Associates degree in related course of study (industrial, mechanical, CAD, etc.) or technical degree in a related manufacturing field preferred.
- Six months experience required (or internship/co-op) in a manufacturing environment preferably in the metal fabrication industry.
- One plus year in commercial machining or aerospace related manufacturing environment in a Project Management or production supervisory/lead capacity required.

Travel is not a recurring condition of this position. Overnight travel <5%
Environmental Conditions:
- Facility is not climate controlled. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- The worker could be subject to extreme temperature changes. Above 100 degrees in the summer and at or below 32 degrees in the winter.
- The worker could be exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors and poor ventilation.
