We're currently seeking a full-time Facility Security Officer in our Columbia, MD office.
Your Day-to-Day at Vulnerability Research Labs:
- Interface with all levels of the company to provide relevant Security guidance
- Actively collaborate with industry and external customer security personnel
- Review and research security trends to keep current on evolving requirements
- Process and track personnel security actions
- Develop, maintain, and enforce Security Policies to increase the security posture of VRL
- Lead different disciplines to ensure program security contract requirements are met
Responsibilities:
- Provide security guidance to senior leadership during strategic planning and decision making
- Act as the single point of contact for all security related activities across multiple security disciplines and is first to respond to alarms
- Initiate, review, submit, maintain, and track all personnel security actions including investigations, reinvestigations, debriefs, indoctrinations, sponsorship requests, and reporting by program or contract
- Create, maintain, and provide security education and awareness activities to all employees, through a variety of methods, to include live trainings and briefings
- Serve as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) and owner of the VRL Insider Threat Program Plan and related activities
- Maintain and improve the security of company facility and secure spaces
- Coordinate with customers and external security personnel to facilitate physical inspections, contract compliance, and overall program security activities
- Conduct security reviews to maintain facility clearance
- Review RFPs, Contracts, and related documents for security requirements to ensure compliance
- Develop and maintain written procedures and policies to mitigate risks across the company
- Actively collaborate with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency representatives to improve the overall security posture of the company, facilitate inspections and audits
- Serve as CUI Program Manager for facility and be able to communicate requirements to personnel
- Maintain knowledge on security trends and evolving requirements throughout industry
- Work collaboratively with IT to ensure company meets CMMC requirements for data protection on systems and networks
- Serve as facility OPSEC Manager and have ownership of OPSEC Program
- Serve as a backup to the Office Manager and assist with on-site responsibilities such as greeting visitors, receiving deliveries, ensuring the kitchen is provisioned, maintenance is scheduled and the office is in orderly condition
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience/certifications)
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience administrating Industrial Security programs within the DoD and IC
- Experience with contracts of multiple security levels and varying requirements
- In depth knowledge of:
- NISPOM, ICD and other security directives
- DCSA Systems of Record including, DISS, NISS, NBIS, and eMASS,
- Security requirements outlined in the DD Form 25
- Completion of the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum
- Experience administrating Industrial Security programs within the DoD and IC
- Experience with contracts of multiple security levels and varying requirements
- Experience with obtaining/ maintaining COMSEC accounts
- Experience with eMASS, RMF, and shepherding systems through the accreditation process as a MUSA or Proposal system
- Advanced security certification such as ISP or SFPC preferred
- This position may require being fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Pay Range: $100,000 - $145,000
The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and any applicable laws.
