Voyager Home Healthcare currently provides in-home Nursing, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Personal Care Provider services throughout the state of Colorado. In April, our company launched our first CBD store (https://getcbdlab.com/) and we are currently in the process of launching the second CBD store in Briargate. We are also opening up our first telehealth clinic in Colorado Springs in July of this year. We currently have one CNA school (https://www.getcna.co/) which is unique in that it allows students to take their classes in an online format while enabling them to attend in-person clinical and practice labs. Our second CNA School will be opening in Denver at the end of August. We recently opened office locations in Denver and Pueblo and are currently in the process of expanding our CBD company, home healthcare services, and CNA schools to the state of Florida. Beginning in 2021, we will begin expanding our businesses to the state of Texas. Our company is aggressive in our development and relentless in our innovation. Pay and Hours
This position starts at $90,000 per year
Monday through Friday (8 am-5pm) with a 1 hour lunch break.
Due to the increase in the number of patients Voyager serves coupled with our continuous addition of new employees; we require a Director of Nursing to oversee and work alongside our team of Patient Service Specialists. Candidates hired for this position will directly oversee the administrative management of our private-pay, IHSS, Parent CNA, and Medicare patients at our Colorado Springs location.
Success on the Job
For a candidate to be successful in this position, they will be able to manage a team of 5 Patient Service Specialists while conducting weekly tasks that ensure our patient population continues to grow.
This includes but is not necessarily limited to:
Meticulous clerical and paperwork practices. Modern healthcare is synonymous with paperwork. Ensuring patient records, documentation, state compliance filing, etc. are continuously completed in an accurate, timely, and understandable manner is critical.
While not a marketing position, directors are expected to maintain cordial relationships with case management companies and other agencies. This typically means monthly phone calls to various local companies we work with to ensure they are satisfied with our conduct and services. While the directors themselves will not be doing this; members of their team will be providing these services routinely.
The ability to manage and lead subordinates. Examples of this would include recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of various employees and assigning them to appropriate tasks, conducting disciplinary actions (write-ups and enforcing company policies), assessing when the company needs to hire more employees for a specific position, and more.
Experts on the company and its programs. Specifically, IHSS, parts of Medicare, state Medicaid waiver programs, and our parent CNA program. Candidates will be trained on these programs but Voyager desires a manager who will take the initiative to expand their knowledge base in any way they can. Examples of this would include staying up-to-date on Colorado state rules and regulations pertinent to our patients, participating in state educational meetings, etc.
As Director of Nursing, you have first-hand accounts of the specific needs and subtleties of various patients. Due to this, candidates may assist in conducting in-person interviews of nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other patient service specialists.
Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN, CNA.)
Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards
Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
Manage record-keeping procedures
Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
After six months of employment; 16 days of Paid Time Off a year. This includes 10 regular days of Paid Time Off as well as 6 paid holidays. Voyager also provides optional holidays. These are holidays where employees are not required to work but will not be paid if they take it off. These include Good Friday, Black Friday, and Halloween.
The possibilities to grow at Voyager are endless. The company recently opened up an office in Denver and Pueblo. Eventually, we will need an individual to be in charge of our home healthcare branches throughout southern Colorado and eventually the entire state. Aside from positions such as the Director of Nursing or Occupational Therapists, which requires an actual license from a governing body, there is no glass ceiling with Voyager.
