Youth Development Professional

Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of youth? Do you enjoy working youth aged 7-17? If you answered yes, you should apply for a Youth Development Professional position with Volunteers of America, Dakotas Youth Center and Kidz Count programs.

We are looking for multiple part time and relief positions,  Monday through Friday, typically 2pm-7pm with a varied schedule during the summer months. No weekends!

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required, Associates degree preferred, must be 18 years of age or older, and have a valid driver’s license.

Primary responsibilities for a Youth Development Professional:

  • Help plan and participate in special events (e.g. Lights on Afterschool, parent nights, etc)
  • Regular collaboration with school staff
  • Implement developmentally appropriate and engaging lessons and activities that align with school standards and focus on improving academic and social-emotional outcomes for students
  • Ensure afterschool spaces are safe, clean and developmentally appropriate
