Residential Supervisor – New Start

Volunteers of America, Dakotas’ New Start Program is seeking a dynamic individual with proven leadership skills to work as a Residential Supervisor, serving people with addiction in a group home setting.

Requirements: Two years of education and/or experience in supervisory position and/or human services field. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Excellent communication skills, management, problem solving, and coordinative abilities.

Primary responsibilities for a Residential Supervisor:

  • Provide intentional supervision and leadership to Life Skills Educator staff.
  • Develop a team environment that encourages collaborative conversations.
  • Responsible for specific program orientation and training for new staff. Collaborates with Residential Director as needed for trainings.
  • Ensure ongoing communication between Life Skills Educators and the clinical team to include Addiction Counselors, Operations Coordinator, Psychologist and Program Director.
  • Assist with the implementation of goals and treatment plans for clients.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in facility.
