Volt is Seeking a Digital Channel Sales Speciast-REMOTE opportunity
As a Digital Channel Sales Specialist working on the DGG Commercial Operations Team, you will drive eCommerce customer onboarding and growth on a per-district basis in US. You will serve as digital channel ambassador for your region and own all phases of the digital customer journey including BI data mining/prospecting, direct sales, target account prescription, increasing platform adoption for existing users, and serving as local platform SME for internal and external customers.
You will contribute directly to the success of the Diagnostics and Genomics division of growing and enhancing the digital sales presence with our customers and field commercial organization.
You will be expected to have a high levels of organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, specifically accelerated knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, and SharePoint are key. Working knowledge of SAP ECC and CRM is preferred.
Your responsibilities:
  • Analyze BI data to identify opportunities for digital channel growth
  • Biweekly engagements with 4+ Sales districts to prescribe target accounts, address and support platform-specific questions, and drive customer onboarding with your remote teammates
  • Represent the digital Sales channel as subject matter expert on customer-facing Sales calls
  • Participate in business and process reviews, assessing impacts, identifying improvement and testing needs, training needs and communication gaps.
  • Identify areas for improvement and maintain an organized enhancement request backlog
  • Receive rotating target accounts list from upper management, develop and implement plans to grow
  • Maintain a funnel report of digital account prospects within your region and report to upper management on a monthly basis
  • Host monthly “welcome to digital channel” WebEx sessions for new hires, internal and external customers

  • BSc in biology or business-related field
  • 2 years of experience selling to direct customers
  • Preference for dynamic, startup-like environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to concisely log and summarize VOC
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Virtual presentation skills (WebEx, Skype, Zoom, Teams)

Nice to have experience with:
  • SAP CRM and ECC
  • Microsoft Visio or other process mapping software
  • EDI/cXML and procurement platforms, e.g. SciQuest, Ariba, Jaggaer
  • Hands-on genomics or proteomics wet lab
  • Power Automate
  • Power Apps
