Volt has partnered with a rapidly growing Medical Manufacturing company in Florham Park, NJ seeking to hire a Buyer/Purchasing Agent to join their Operations.

As a Buyer/Purchasing Agent you will:
Buyer/Purchasing Agent candidates must meet the following requirements:
We currently have 1st shift openings (Monday - Friday |7AM - 330PM + OT when available)
Pay for this position is $30/hr - $35/hr plus overtime as needed.
Experience with the following is a plus:
Volt offers on demand pay through DailyPay, which allows Volt field employees to see how much they’ve made each day and access this money at any time before payday. **Eligibility is based on the client you are working at. You cannot use DailyPay if you are paid via paper check.

Volt has partnered with a rapidly growing Medical Manufacturing company in Florham Park, NJ seeking to hire a Buyer/Purchasing Agent to join their Operations.

As a Buyer/Purchasing Agent you will:
- Manage and adhere to budget guidelines with strong ability to handle contract negotiations, then gains Management approvals.
- Annually reviews and develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
- Establish account/credit and terms.
- Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers.
- Follow environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws and regulations.
- Collaborate procurement strategies with purchasing team
- Negotiate pricing and terms
- Develop and optimize vendor relationships
- Prospect and acquire new vendor accounts
- Develop and implements cost saving measures; Contributes to profits and revenue; Conserves organizational resources.
- Handle purchase requests for manufacturing raw materials, OEM, and MRO products and outside services. Procures pricing and delivery information, reviews requisitions.
Buyer/Purchasing Agent candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years’ of related buyer/procurement experience
- APICS certification is highly desired, knowledge of APICS is a big plus.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written necessary. Pleasant & professional demeanor required.
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Effective problem solving skills and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment needed.
- Some travel to vendors required.
- Candidates selected must meet all pre-screening eligibility requirements
