Job Description
  • Prepare and execute the annual budget process
  • Build and maintain monthly financial forecasting models
  • Prepare the monthly reporting for the Management Team
  • Provide insightful reports and analysis on a monthly basis to explain variances against budgets and forecast that is accurate, comprehensive, and credible to help the leadership teams understand and manage the business
  • Understand and report on KPIs and business drivers while communicating changes to key metrics and recommend appropriate actions
  • Work closely with the Accounting team during month-end close to ensure a smooth and timely financial close, analysis and reporting for Cities and Departments.
  • Model direct and indirect rates for the business, budget versus actual.
  • Provide key financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis as required
  • Streamline budgeting, forecast and reporting, identify improvement and prioritization opportunities, and lead the implementation of process improvements.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Prepare regular Cash Flow forecasting
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, increasing accuracy, quality, and ease of understanding


Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience performing financial and ad hoc analyses using advanced Excel functionality, query, and providing recommendations based on results to senior management
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting, proven analytical ability and creative problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfortable working with large data sets experience desired
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and bill.com a plus
  • Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills, both oral and written,
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience with and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
  • Self-starter with an ability to identify issues and resolve problems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills, self-motivated, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask, great organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
