Forensic Economic Case Manager

National forensic economic firm is seeking a qualified, energetic and highly organized individual to serve as a case manager for its Chicago operation.  VEI’s case managers work directly with our vocational and economic analysts to quantify damages for persons who have sustained permanent impairment.  Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree (preferably in economics, finance, or mathematics)

·      Strong communication skills

·      Advanced Quantitative reasoning skills

·      Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel

·      Ability to conduct research on the internet

·      Capable of managing multiple priorities and working independently

·      Detail orientated

·      Interest in growth and learning

Duties:

·      Review, organize and summarize medical, educational, employment, earnings and tax records.

·      Conduct research as necessary.

·      Using analysis parameters outlined by the expert, quantify damages and write reports.

·      Proofread and edit reports.

·      Perform administrative duties related to submitting reports and tracking case status.

·      Collaborate with the expert and other team members and resolve issues as they come up.

·      Interact with clients, attorneys and their staff.

·      Review and critique reports prepared by opposing experts.

·      Help the expert prepare for depositions and trial testimony.
