We seek an exceptional Product Manager to lead our company's fast-growing product offerings in micro-broadcasting and cloud environments. You will help expand NewTeks position as the leader in IP and software-driven production tools.  This is a remote role with some travel to our offices in San Antonio, as well as, EMEA and APAC.

The Product Manager will be strategic and hands-on, acting as the "voice of the product" and communicating proactively with the rest of the organization and customers to ensure the continued development and delivery of highly effective and profitable solutions. In addition, the role will involve roadmap development, collaborating with PMM on go-to-market strategy and plans, identifying value propositions, competitive positioning, and managing the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in B2B2B sales models and engaging dynamic markets with complex technical products. In addition, a substantial background in broadcast, video streaming, content-encoding/transcoding, and delivery is a PLUS.

This is a highly strategic and cross-functional role and will play a critical role in the NewTek product journey; and requires proven storytelling expertise, strategic thinking, business acumen, a passion for customers, and outstanding leadership.

What you'll do: 

  • Strategic product management and optimization of the implementation management of the assigned product or product group in cooperation with the respective departments
  • Optimization of turnover, sales, contribution margin, and cost management of the product or product group in cooperation with the respective departments
  • Optimization of the control, coordination and implementation of all product-related measures and activities in cooperation with the respective departments
  • Optimization of product-related information management within the company and with the respective market partners
  • Obtaining product-relevant market and competitive information as well as relevant trends and developments on the product market
  • Creation of requirement profiles (scope) for new products or functions to be developed
  •  Approval of the requirement specifications drawn up by the R&D department (costs/efforts
  • Analysis of revenue and sales development, profit development, and market share development
  • Management of the entire product life cycle in terms of innovation, market introduction, and updates up to product discontinuation
  • Ensuring sales support concerning product-specific sales documents
  • Formulation and execution of recurring revenue for the products and components
  • Together with the marketing team, work on go-to-market strategies, value propositions, marketing campaigns, and product releases
  • Roadmap input from customers and partners (requirements, priorities, saleable features, etc.) Working with R&D to prioritize the technical backlog to achieve product goals
  • Executing the platform strategy and the associated coordination between the teams involved 
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition, target audiences, and critical product scenarios to the wider marketing team and other stakeholders for excellent Go-To-Market execution.
  • Lead communication and marketing plans for the launch of new products, features, and releases aligned with the target audiences.
  • Working, at times, with the brand and content team to produce sales pitches and sales enablement materials, demos, collateral, thought leadership and solution presentations, website content, videos, blogs, byline articles, and more.
  • Drive the understanding, usage, and integration of key insights, including but not limited to market trends and market opportunities, and synthesize that information into actionable plans.
  • Act as an internal NewTek champion within Vizrt Group helping wider team members understand the vision and strategy and being the go-to person for all internal NewTek micro broadcasting and content product-related queries.

What you bring to the role

  • 8+ years of product or product marketing experience with channel-delivered products, 3+ years of product marketing experience in the Video, broadcast, OTT, or streaming industries or 5+ years working directly with NewTek products and NewTek channel partners.
  • Able to identify opportunities to position products differently in the market, focus on clear messaging to highlight value propositions to clients
  • Successful track record partnering with Marketing, Sales, Product & Customer Success teams to turn features into client benefits
  • Demonstrated experience in technology marketing, including the ability to take technical concepts and communicate them to both business and technical audiences
  • Experience working with a matrixed team of stakeholders to achieve a common goal
  • Advanced ability to manage multiple parallel projects and goals to achieve critical deadlines
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual capabilities across multiple communication channels
  • A sense of urgency, a natural bias for action, and an ability to operate independently.
  • The highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Even better:

  • Extensive experience in B2B OEM technology scoping is a huge plus.
  • Intimate knowledge of the video industry and experience working with industry partners at major hardware OEMs, cloud service providers, and broadcast hardware and software providers.
  • Understanding technologies such as NDI (Video over IP), Video Compression, Video routing, cloud video, MAM, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies related to IP video, digital video and audio, compression technology, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to think and act independently within a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Work across international time zones in North America, Asia, and Europe.
