We are looking for a high energy, focused, and dynamic Program Manager to lead a coordinated process approach to launching initiatives and driving cross functional alignment. This role is an integral part of our Vital Proteins Transformation & Strategy team supporting critical initiatives that will help deliver our growth ambitions. This position will report to the Senior Vice President Transformation & Strategy and work closely with Vital Proteins Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Sales, R&D Innovation, Finance, Marketing and Quality teams to deliver best in class results. Our Program Manager will establish timelines, meeting cadence, project ownership of tasks as well as track, report, communicate and drive overall updates to ensure on-time completion. Additionally, they will lead post project analysis and post-mortem report out for continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple departments are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Leading the definition and communication of project scope, objectives, and expectations, Risks & Mitigation
  • Building and managing project schedule, organize data, defining the critical path, tracking activities to ensure functional team members are meeting agreed upon deadlines, generating, and communicating status reports, and escalating critical issues.
  • Demonstrate responsible and professional business leadership holding team members accountable for project deliverable deadlines.
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams through co-ordinating & Conduting workshops including external vendors & Consultants
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement practices to provide constructively critical feedback to respective teams.
  • Identifying project resource requirements and escalating resource constraints.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with Stakeholers, Executive leadership as well as external partners

Qualified Candidates will have:
  • A Bachelor's degree & PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification a Plus
  • 2+ years of experience preferred in project or program management with Cross functional experience including but not limited to Engineering, Operations, Technical or a related field of work
  • Project management methodology background including experience with scheduling, scope, issue and risk management and using PMO tools (MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet, Planview, and Clarity)
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in project management -: large capital projects , co-ordination of high revenue consolidation of products or product transfer, plant changes Engineering or major organizational changes
  • Prior working experience with Plant operations, food, or consumer packaged goods environment
  • Ability to identify potential project risks and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns
  • Adaptable self-starter that's skilled in creating structure within an ambiguous environment
  • Able to serve as a liaison between teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs
  • Logical and analytical problem-solving skills; rigorous approach to project/program management to deliver
  • Relationship builder able to collaborate effectively with others and build relationships at all levels internally and with client teams and stakeholders
  • Proficient in establishing job and work process flows
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to embrace change
  • Must have the ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Be nimble enough to identify top priorities as they are ever shifting based on needs of the Sales teams and Executive Leadership.
