Jr. Financial/Business Analyst, Part-Time

Job Summary: The Junior Fiscal/Business Analyst supports the planning, developing, and executing of solutions that will focus on continuous improvements of the business’ entire supply chain, initiating with new product development, strategic sourcing, and supporting effective demand planning. Responsibilities also include reporting and analysis, as well as interpreting financial and operational information for management to meet business needs. The role will be involved in business initiatives and assisting with researching market trends, recommending business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes and generating new ideas to meet business needs.

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling and hours (16 to 28 hours per week)

Principle Responsibilities:
Conduct research to meet business needs.
Perform data and financial analysis on social media metrics, vendor invoices, sales performance, etc.
Work with stakeholders and translate requests into a comprehensive project requirements.
Work with functional users in a variety of departments (e.g., Purchasing, Finance, Sales, Operations, etc.) to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business processes and system needs.
Analyze and identify problems in workflows, processes, and possible impediments with new product requests.
Gain an understanding of Supply Chain Management methodologies and processes related to all areas of Supply Chain beginning with new product development, sourcing, forecasting/demand planning, and inventory management through to shipping, logistics, and distribution processes.
Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation for new releases.
Assist in testing new features to make sure that they meet the original project requirements.
Assist in the training of users on new features and changes.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Additional Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each principal responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education: Matriculated student in a Business, Finance or Marketing program required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Marketing preferred.

Experience: One (1) years of prior office administration or business/financial/marketing analyst experience in a professional office setting is preferred. Prior project management experience and working with customers or end users in gathering requirements and documenting issues and processes preferred.

Physical Requirements: Work requires ability to frequently lift up to ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, bending and/or stooping for periods of five hours or more; moving and examining objects at high and low reach, and reading for periods of three hours or more. Position requires normal visual acuity.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance work instructions, procedure manuals and SDS sheets.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form.

Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Must understand and use simple statistical methods.

Demonstrated attention to detail and thoroughness are critical.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Must have ability to solve moderately complex problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations. Must have a deliberate and acute sense of documentation of all activities while in the manufacturing environment.

Proficient computer software skills including word processors, presentations & spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point).

Proficient in oral and written communication skills. Must be familiar with and be able to communicate via e-mail.

Must be able to communicate effectively in a cross functional team environment to complete work tasks as instructed.

Must have sound judgment and decision-making skills.

Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is desirable.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
