**Responsibilities and Qualifications**
+ This is a part time position working 24 hours per week.
+ Must be able to work any shift, including weekend swing shift: Saturday and Sunday from 5:00pm to 5:00am
+ Make foot and/or vehicle-assisted rounds. Perform fire watch during rounds.
+ Watch for theft. Look for vandals and vandalism.
+ Check for illegal entry. Logs all activity in daily logbook, such as items that are not routine.
+ Follow Standard Works for Security Guard.
+ Report leaking pipes. Report mechanical faults of machinery and equipment.
+ Check doors and windows that are supposed to be closed and locked. Check gates to ensure they are closed and/or locked if appropriate.
+ Investigate vehicle/traffic accidents.
+ Check badges of employees accessing plant. Conduct random searches of vehicles and employees entering and exiting the plant.
+ Warns violators and documents any infractions such as loitering, trespassing, smoking in restricted areas, and carrying forbidden articles.
+ Make periodic patrol of parking lots, either on foot or by driving vehicle. Issue parking violations and watch for suspicious activity.
+ Assist in handling workplace violence scenarios. Escort employees and others off plant.
+ Use fire extinguisher to put out small, incipient-type fires.
