The Caregiver Development Coordinator is a big part of our office team here at Visiting Angels. We're all professional people who love what we do, get along well together and work hard to bring the very best of quality care to seniors so they can stay safely in their own home. We work well with hospice, home health and PT, OT and others to coordinate our care. This a very busy but rewarding career.     The Caregiver Development Coordinator's major responsibilities of this position include:

  • Recruiting Caregivers: Participate in the interview process by screening and interviewing prospective caregiver candidates
  • Work collaboratively to deliver our prepared Training and Orientation program to new caregivers 
  • Maintain & continue development of Visiting Angels online recruitment presence
  • Use and/or enhance social media venues by engaging existing caregivers/office team via testimonials and care experiences
  • Retaining Caregivers: following up after the onboarding process to assure caregivers' hourly schedule requests are being met as well as ensuring that they have the tools they need to do their jobs
  • Work with the Caregiver Mentor to conduct follow-up processes with new clients and their caregivers to ensure client needs are being addressed
  • Participating in on-call rotation one week per month for after hour and weekend calls.
  • ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Knowledge of state & federal employment laws a must, maintain state guidelines
  • Partner with managers to guide them in a variety of employee relations matters;
  • Manage recruitment efforts 
  • Generate and propose different recruitment ideas;
  • Oversee the follow-up and onboarding process
  • Work with the Caregiver Mentor to deliver services to caregivers
  • QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Successful applicants must have a college degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in a healthcare, preferably in a home care or hospice setting; or a high school diploma with a minimum of five years of experience in our field. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) applications, schedule systems and other health care industry related software
  • Strong interviewing and assessment skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Participating in on-call rotation one week per month for after hour and weekend calls.

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Generate and propose different recruitment ideas;
