We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented critical thinker who is deadline-driven and always keeps the big picture in mind. Not having paralysis by analysis, this honest and collaborative quick responder can even draw a sketch on-site if necessary. Our ideal Field Projects Manager is comfortable communicating with anyone, from skilled trades subcontractors to engineers and upper-level management, even presenting and speaking publicly when situations arise. RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities of this Field Projects Manager position include, but are not limited to:

  • Understand, clarify, organize, and communicate SOW (Scope of Work)
  • Assist in writing, developing, and executing budgets, timelines, and proposals
  • Clarify and review designs with customers and engineering
  • Communicate with Engineering and Estimating to develop quotes
  • Conduct field visits for measurements and documentation of site conditions
  • Communicate and manage expectations between customer and company
  • Coordinate with estimating department and shop fabrication
  • Produce sketches and drawings of layouts and piping
  • Manage materials and cost
  • Build customer relationships through communication
  • Plan and manage resources (manpower, subcontractors, materials, and equipment)
  • Oversee project commissioning and start-ups
  • Ensure safety compliance
  • Manage change orders
  • Document customer meetings, internal meetings and site records of time, material, and percentage complete
  • Develop, improve, modify, and follow processes and procedures
  • Implement and hold others accountable for quality control
  • Conduct After Action Reviews (analysis)
  • Conduct employee reviews of and with the Field Foremen
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Strengthen customer base through nurturing and developing customer relationships
  • Obtain customer feedback

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in at least one of the following:
    • Manufacturing
    • Fabrication
    • Food and Beverage
    • Pharmaceutical and Personal Care products
    • Process Systems
  • Minimum of 3 years’ project management experience
  • Experience managing crews and foremen (set daily/weekly goals and schedule)
  • Ability to read P&ID’s, engineering drawings, and blueprints
  • Able to produce manual sketches and drawings (draw P&IDs or 3D)
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Project, Outlook, CRM, Virtual Meetings etc.)
  • ERP software
  • Desire and ability to travel domestically

Preferred

  • 8 years’ industry experience, including a second industry from the list above
  • 6 years’ project management experience
  • Food and Beverage Processing knowledge
  • Fabrication of stainless-steel knowledge
  • Comprehensive process equipment knowledge
  • Experience installing tanks, pumps, systems, etc
  • Familiarity with control systems and process automation (PLCs)
  • AutoCAD knowledge (plotting, redlines, dimensioning)
  • Experience doing material and piping take-offs, setting budgets, and developing timeline

Desired

  • 4-year degree in one of the following:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Construction Management
  • Global Shop (ERP)
  • Microsoft OneNote
  • Autodesk Plant 3D familiarity
  • Revit, Bentley, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault familiarity
  • PM Certification
  • CRM software (Global Shop)
  • Experience selling tanks, pumps, systems, etc.
  • Proven success in growing and increasing sales

Additional position requirements:

  • Ability to travel (by car and airplane)
  • Clean driving record
  • Pass background check
  • Passport is desired but not necessary

Salary: $85k-110k plus profit sharing
