Location: Office in Tucson, AZ or Chicago, IL

Work Location: Remote (but first three months requires a lot of office time)

Role Description:

The Scientific Research Associate will work directly with the senior team on patient-centered qualitative outcomes research (clinical outcomes assessment) studies to better understand humanistic clinical benefit within the context of observational or clinical studies. This role offers the opportunity to work locally and globally on patient-centered research studies across multiple therapeutic areas. Measures include patient-, clinician-, and observer-reported outcomes to understand health-related quality of life and symptomology impact of disease on patients.

You will be working with an outstanding set of people who all focus on doing a great job in clinical outcome studies for the benefit of patients and their families worldwide.

Skills / Attributes:

Conduct literature reviews across multiple therapeutic indications

    • Familiarity with outcomes research field to support new drug development
    • Willingness and ability to conduct patient interviews (some travel required)

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in psychology, epidemiology, public health, outcome research, health sciences (Masters degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years conducting or supporting ongoing research efforts
  • Strong qualitative skills; experience with NVivo or similar software programs
  • Proficiency at Microsoft project required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Some knowledge of database entry, report generation.
  • Awareness of the dynamics and culture of a global startup company with a desire to master the varied aspects of a global operation.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Good problem-solving skills and collaborative working style.

The salary starts at $40,000 pa and will be based on skills and experience.
