Virginia Health Services is hiring a Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for York Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center, a Long Term Care and Rehab Center located in Yorktown, VA. This position is a Full Time opportunity that includes working Monday-Friday!The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) has the following responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises resident care to assure quality.Monitors and manages systems as assigned by the Director of Nursing.Completes assigned duties and paper work timely.Supervises nursing staff to ensure quality of care.Assumes role of Director of Nursing as needed.Assumes on call duties.Promotes and demonstrates positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents and visitors.Attends and participates in committees as assigned.Complies with all established policies and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.Completes accurately and timely paperwork for the RAI process.Ensures the plan of care is comprehensive and... completed within the time frame.Coordinates plan of care with each resident and their responsible party.Communicates with unit nursing staff regarding each resident's plan of care.Complies with all established policies and procedures.Promotes and demonstrates positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents and visitors.Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and holds current Virginia RN license.Experience/education in Gerontological Nursing required.Computer knowledge preferred.Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information.While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, turn, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, talk, hear, taste and smell.Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 pounds.Risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials.Why join Virginia Health Services?
