The eCommerce Manager role is focused on utilizing digital tools and industry best practices to optimize and grow the company’s eCommerce channels and inbound lead conversions. This role will consistently work to optimize the customer’s buying experience using the company’s website, omni-channel marketplaces and associative tools to increase sales via these channels. Further, the role will focus on activities that maintain consistent profitability growth. The eCommerce Manager will also have a primary role in leading the Web Order Processing team, ensuring each order supports a healthy marketplace and positive customer experience. The eCommerce team of product listers and online order processors (approximately 4-6 people) will report directly to the eCommerce Manager.
The “right fit” candidate will have past experience with the following job responsibilities:
eCommerce Retail and Omni-Channel Marketplaces
Has successfully increased profitability and managed operational logistics of digital marketplaces which consist of a website store as well as omni-channel locations, specifically eBay and Amazon (Merchant and FBA). Management and optimization of a Reverb marketplace is a plus.
Demonstrated understanding of the entire purchase cycle funnel and accompanying technology and techniques to include promotional activities, consideration content generation, lead capture and successful conversion points.
Proven track record of improving eCommerce and lead generation conversion rates as well as average order value.
Expert at evaluating data from the marketplace platforms, connectors and the webmaster to extract insights, resolve errors, make improvements and maintain improvements.
Creating, optimizing, monitoring and achieving performance goals and KPIs associated with eCommerce channels.
Experience running an Amazon FBA program is preferred.
Product Strategy and Merchandising
Deep understanding of complex, multidimensional data sources with the skills required to derive insights, compiling this data into steering documentation which predicts, models and monitors actions toward consistent profitability.
Able to construct a product merchandising strategy using actionable data.This includes experience optimizing metadata, category taxonomy, attributes and filters of the store and product listings to result in increased revenue on an eCommerce retail website marketplace as well as on omni-channels like eBay and Amazon.
Website Optimization and SEO
- Best practices in website optimization utilizing industry standard SEO techniques.
Collaboration with the technical eCommerce team on various insights and digital tools focused on improvements in the website UI / UX, schema data usage, PPC campaigns, diversity in linking and strategic content.
Able to interact with Google Analytics and the analytical data within each omni-channel marketplace to deeply understand any patterns in demand, conversion and platform health. And, use these insights to plan additional action forward.
Certification in Google Analytics is a plus.
Merchandising and Advertising
Collaborate with vendors and other departments to gain insight on upcoming promotions, incentives and product launches. Use this information to plan merchandising activities such as banner management, promotional management, product messaging and category enrichment.
Manage freelance teams who will write the unique copy and meta for product pages and online advertising where applicable.
Work cross-functionally with Purchasing and within the Marketing department to optimize product listings to be included in the Google Product Feed for Google ad placement.
Contribute to the optimization of the company’s pay-per-click activities. Collaborate with the team to optimize the flow from ad to conversion.
Certifications in Google Ads focused on product feeds is a plus.
Teams and Projects
Directly manage the eCommerce Web Order Processing team to ensure the customer experience is consistently our highest priority.
Audit current processes to resolve efficiency blockers and update processes.
Excited by the opportunity to grow the eCommerce channels utilizing a strategic and metric-based approach.
Work closely with the eCommerce and Marketing teams to develop projects and implement them.
Thrives on analyzing data and campaign metrics to result in optimization of the company’s digital marketing activities.
Manages workflow and day-to-day work efficiently.

- Pro Audio product category and industry experience are preferred but not a requirement.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Administration, Internet Marketing, Digital Marketing or Marketing from a four-year college or university; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have amply demonstrated expertise with multiple online marketplaces like Magento, eBay, Amazon (Merchant and FBA). Reverb is a plus.
Experience with Magento Enterprise and the accompanying extension and connector functionality is a plus.
NetSuite as an ERP connection experience is a plus.
Hands-on experience with connectors like FarApp and Celigo is preferred.
Expertise with industry tools like Google Analytics, Search Console and others used to evaluate a website’s SEO, Serp data and ranking; Marketing Automation software / SaaS; Content Management Software; blogging platforms like WordPress; Presentation software; Design software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Experience in a digital retail / eCommerce environment is required.
