 Vie Management is currently seeking an experienced Regional Manager to join their team of professionals in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. 

Job Description:

The Regional Manager is directly responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of an assigned portfolio of properties to achieve the business objectives of the Company and clients. The Regional Manager leads our teams and establishes the highest level of customer service in creating the Vie Lifestyle. Accountable for ensuring optimum performance results through the successful implementation of comprehensive programs, initiatives, and strategies.

 

Goals:

  • Maximizing NOI of an assigned portfolio by managing occupancy at the maximum achievable rents
  • Support and communicate company goals and initiatives, promote company programs, and act as an ambassador of the company
  • Build productive working relationships with suppliers, internal business partners, and on-site staff
  • Ensure the portfolio operations are functioning within the financial parameters established in the budget
  • Developing a highly trained and professional operational team
  • Plan, develop and implement organization policies and goals

 

Duties:

  • Directs all property operations within an assigned portfolio and ensures that the Company and/or owners’ financial and business objectives are being achieved
  • Hire qualified associates, assemble skilled and cohesive teams, manage individual and team performance, provide developmental opportunities and promote teamwork and cooperation
  • Resolve personnel issues in a professional and timely manner.  Implement all disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy and ensure consistency
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and guidance to property managers with support in administering company policies and key internal processes
  • Visit each property in assigned portfolio in accordance with company standard. 
  • Provide regular operations efficiency reports as required
  • Audit the property processes and results as necessary
  • Leads meetings or calls with property managers at least once per month and effectively communicate key corporate initiatives and strategies during the meeting
  • Ensure the effective execution of lease renewal strategies and resident retention/resident satisfaction plans
  • Review and approve advertising campaigns and marketing strategies to optimize market position and increase traffic velocity and sustain acceptable levels of occupancy
  • Manage forecasting processes throughout the year as required
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the accounting group to ensure funding, invoicing, forecasting, accounts payable, and collection requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Communicate the overall objectives of the company, the portfolio, and the property to management and others as appropriate

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

  • Ability to use a personal computer and has working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, fax machine, printer, and copier
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to perform advanced mathematical and accounting functions
  • Ability to read and comprehend financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, general ledgers, budgets, etc
  • Comprehension of federal fair housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions
  • Ability to conduct presentations or speak in public to large groups of people
  • Must be proactive, self-directed and highly motivated
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to drive an automobile
  • Ability to travel on all forms of commercial transportation

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years management experience in Hospitality, Resort or Property Management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Experience with Entrata preferred
  • Current driver’s license
  • Real estate license (if required by state)
  • Other license and/or certifications as required by state law

 

Other Requirements

  • Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed dress code policy
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis
  • Must be available and reachable at all times via phone or pager, except during approved time off
  • Travel required
