Job Description: The Senior HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, employment law compliance, talent acquisition and recruitment. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. The Nitty Gritty Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Responsible for the ownership and execution of Vibrant’s recruitment philosophy. Responsible for the entire recruitment life-cycle including partnering directly with Leaders to learn the ins-and-outs of their assigned areas and support every aspect of the talent acquisition strategy from creating job descriptions/interview questions/performance evaluations, to sourcing talent, to serving in the essential role of first contact when coordinating interviews, to ensure timely processing of background checks and new hires, to managing requisition workload including consulting with leaders and offer recommendations and negotiations. Benefit & Compensation Administration: Assists in administering benefits and compensation programs, Reconcile benefit invoices to ensure accuracy, Communicates discrepancies to carrier/broker and ensures resolution, Assists in annual open enrollment communications and election process, Provide support in handling benefit questions and concerns for employees, Administers the leave management process, including FMLA, STD, LTD, Worker’s Compensation, and Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Employee Relations: Proactively provides HR advice and support on a wide range of employee related issues and advises management of appropriate resolution in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, Provides consultation on a variety of employment-related concerns such as employee discipline, performance improvement, separations, terminations and general employee management, Responsible for assisting in employee investigation matters, Supports and advises management and employees in the interpretation and application of human resources policies and procedures and implement effective employee relations. Performance Management: Responsible for the oversight and integrity of Vibrant’s Performance Management process; ensures management is adhering to all events and timelines within the process in a thoughtful and relevant manner, Train new managers on their role in administering Vibrant’s Performance Management process, Educate new employees during New Hire Orientation on Vibrant’s Performance Management process. Policy Implementation: Administers various human resource plans and procedures; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual(s), Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs, Conduct new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of HR policies, benefit plans and enrollment provision Administrative: Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts separation conversations with exiting employees, Manage and execute required annual notices, disclosures and filings, Researches and recommends new Talent Management policies and procedures, Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from the database, Assist with various HR-related research projects and/or special projects; including annual audits. These are the must haves aka minimum requirements for the job: Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent experience.5+ years of Human Resources related experience.Working knowledge of leave management laws and practices.Well versed in HR best practices, current state and federal regulations, and labor laws.Experience working in different areas of HR such as employee relations, leave management, benefits, performance management, recruiting, etc.Excellent written & verbal communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Must possess high standards of personal integrity.Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/of SHRM-CP certification preferred. Competencies Communication.Business Acumen.Consultation. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching, stooping, and grasping functions. The position also often requires reaching, lifting (up to 25 pounds). Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motion activities are also required. Must be able to read print and computer based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy.
