Job Description
In a Nutshell: Responsible for facilities oversight and management, as well as the planning and maintenance of all Credit Union facilities. Negotiating Contracts and The Facilities Manager is also responsible for ensuring credit union property and grounds are maintained and secure at all times.

The Nitty Gritty

Facility management: Oversee and coordinate all activities related to Credit Union facility management including building maintenance, occupancy, construction, relocation, renovation, and the potential assistance with the purchase of property. This includes working with others to ensure that facilities are properly permitted, constructed and maintained according to building codes, zoning, impact fees, etc., and are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Maintains the facilities ticket management system and processes. Conducts and investigates accidents and accident reporting. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring facility processes and procedures are maintained. Handles all Real Estate/Property management items for the Credit Union including tenant management. This position also manages maintenance on all Credit Union owned vehicles.

Facility vs Branch Expansion: Assists in the development and implementation of strategic facility expansion, including land purchase, new facility construction, and lease management. Manages all phases of new building construction and existing building remodeling. Prepares budgets, cost estimates, accepts contractor bids, reviews design plans, and implements a strategy for the complete construction of all building projects. Sets building start and completion dates. Monitors architect's and contractor's progress to meet stated objectives and goals.

Budget Oversight: Responsible for the development and administration of facilities operating and capital budgets, including budgetary recommendations for equipment, materials, supplies and potential capital improvements. Provides for the maintenance and or resolution of issues/repairs affecting the Credit Union facilities to ensure a safe, fully-functional and well-maintained environment for staff and members while adhering to federal, state and local regulations and requirements.

Security: Manages physical risks at all credit union locations and facilities including security systems, building access, and security inspections.

Vendor Management: Communicate goals, objectives and expectations and conduct periodic performance reviews associated with vendor relationships and follow up to ensure service requirements are met in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner. Responsible for the management of all facilities related vendors including; quality of service, speed of delivery, minimization of disruptions for operations team, and price competitiveness. These vendors include but are not limited to HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, maintenance, lawn, snow removal, coffee vendor, pest control, cleaning and snack machines.

Do you have what it takes?

  1. High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree from two year college or technical school preferred. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is desirable


  1. One to three years related experience and/or training.


  1. Valid Driver's License and ability to travel to regional branch locations up to 25% of the time with occasional overnights.

Must be technically competent with excellent problem solving, analytical, and logistics management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must have the ability to work independently, engage in effective time management, and navigate a complex workload at multiple locations.
