Job Description

In a Nutshell: The Branch Lead is responsible for the day to day supervision of the teller line along with the operation of the teller line. The Branch Lead is also responsible for providing leadership, support, and ongoing training to the Member Service Representative (MSR) staff.

The Nitty Gritty

Cash Handling Administration and Oversight: Serve as the primary contact for MSR staff on overrides, transaction errors, balancing issues, T Magic issues / errors, and resolving member issues. Responsible for the growth and success of MSR staff through ongoing training, counseling, supervision, and support. Responsible for balancing of the vault along with processing all cash received and disbursed from the vault. Conduct branch opening and closing procedures. Conducts monthly teller and CDM audit. Creates monthly MSR schedule as well as weekly window assignments.

Facilitate Financial Transactions: Process member transactions accurately and efficiently. Balance cash drawers. Conduct branch opening and closing procedures. Enrolls members for products and services. Create new debit cards, fraud dispute paperwork, check orders, & ATM re-pins. Verifies night drop and ATM deposits. Balances and maintains ATM, CDM, and coin machines. Process the cash order for the branch.

Provide Outstanding Service: Provide excellent member service 100% of the time. Resolve member issues to the best of their ability. Enhances member awareness of Vibrant products and services by building trust and rapport with members.

Generate New Business: Proactively solicit new business through member engagement. Meet and / or exceed personal and branch goals. Cross sell VCU products and services to increase member usage. Oversee all MSR activity to achieve both individual and branch sales goals.

Focus on Ongoing Professional Development: Participate in education and training provided by the credit union. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations for the teller area.

Do you have what it takes?

Minimum Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or General Education Degree required.

  2. Six months experience and / or training desirable.

  3. Previous cash handling experience preferred.

To be successful in this position, an individual must be personable, dependable, tactful, accurate, and patient. This individual should also possess excellent verbal communication skills and mathematical reasoning ability. They must understand all Vibrant Credit Union products and services. It is essential that this individual understand and abide by the strict confidentiality policies that are necessary in any financial institution.
