We are seeking a talented Logistics intern to work in a team oriented environment at our facility in San Antonio, Texas. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Logistics student to gain experience in the medical device industry.

This internship provides an opportunity to gain real world exposure to an ISO 13485-certified medical device manufacturing company and quality system. You will gain experience working in a professional, technical environment and have the opportunity to collaborate with department leaders and other logistics team members.
The Logistics Intern primary role will be to support the Logistics Department in activities related to Value Stream Mapping, creating standard work, and documenting work instructions for the Purchasing/Planning functions for medical device products, and creating and labeling slow moving inventory in the warehouse. The intern will also provide administrative support to the Logistics department.
Responsibilities of this internship will include:
·Create standard work and other quality system documents needed for purchasing, and planning of product.
·Value Stream Mapping
·Execute label creating and labeling of slow moving inventory.
·Automate data analysis.
·Assist with Continuous Improvement projects.
·Maintenance of Item Master data.
·Provide weekly update on activities – accomplishments for the week and goals for the following week
·Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.

·Must be able to work efficiently and in an organized manner
·Proficiency in creating and manipulation of Excel spreadsheets
·Ability to interact with diverse sets of people
·Must have good communication skills, both oral and written
Currently enrolled in an accredited university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.
The intern can expect sufficient training prior to the start of each project. Training will be provided face-to-face and via assigned procedures.
A Logistics Buyer/Planner or the Inventory Control Supervisor will serve as the internship supervisor. Other Logistics staff will be available to assist the intern with questions as needed.
·Full time (40 hours/week) internships are available, with a preference for full time
·Typical Hours for full time: 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 1 hour lunch break
·Duration: 3 month minimum
·Pay is $12 to $16/hour
