Job Description:
This Automation / Robotic engineer role is to support Manufacturing Research thru technology investigation,
validation, and support for production deployment of Automation Technology.
JOB DUTIES
Develop processes and procedures related to validating and testing of new PLC programs
Previous full time work experience in PLC programming in a factory environment in Heavy Equipment /
Automotive or other similar industries.
Coordinate PLC, Electrical and Assembly personnel to assist in performing all required validation and testing
activities
Assist in developing the schedule for all validation and testing activities. Report progress of these activities on a
weekly basis.
High level troubleshooting when the need arises.
Develop and maintain feedback mechanism with Engineering and Manufacturing regarding improvement
opportunities.
Creation of formal Technical Reports as required.
Ensure that all ISO and safety policies are known and always followed.
Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Required Attributes:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline
Fanuc, ABB, or similar Robot Experience with ability to create, edit, trouble shoot issues.
Able to work in Shop Environment
Flexible work schedule if first shift requires support or overlap
Great work ethic with positive attitude and technical communication ability.
Working Knowledge of Automated Cells
Preferred Attributes:
AB PLC Experience
Ability to trouble shoot complex manufacturing systems
Working experience with problem solving, A3 framework, and Root cause corrective action [RCCA]
Passion for Manufacturing Excellence.
