Job Description

Veteran's Site Development is seeking Full Time pipe-crew (operators, Hillman, tail man, lead man, foreman, and mud/compactor laborers-experience preferred), as well as experienced heavy equipment operators (dozer, excavator, loader, grader) and general laborers.  Very competitive wages depending on experience. Experience operating a wide range of equipment used for work site development a plus. Looking for team members who are dependable and able to learn our system. Individual Job Description:

GPS Dozer Operator

Work in a safe and effective manner to minimize risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.

Fully understand GPS Dozer equipment software, but able to run Dozer without GPS if necessary.

Responsible for all GPS equipment

Able to achieve finish grades, swales, and pond slopes.

Coordinate with rest of field activities including moving/positioning dirt loads on site.

Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction.

Excavator / Hoe Operator

Work in a safe and effective manner to minimize risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.

Work safely in trenches and on excavation sites.

Finish of inlets, manholes and catch basins.

Knowledge of excavator loading requirements.

Coordinate with rest of field activities on site.

Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction.

Qualifications:

Must have transportation to and form work.

General Laborer / End Dump Driver

Load, unload, or identify materials, machinery, or tools, disturbing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.

Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, shovels pneumatic tampers, or rakes.

Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment

Ensure equipment is properly stored and cleaned on job site.

Conform to all safety protocols when on or around operating equipment.

Qualifications:

Active Driver's License.

Must have a safety-first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.

Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 75 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat and humidity.

Observe operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.

Responsible for equipment maintenance; perform pre- and post- shift inspections documenting items in need of service or repair, diagnosing problems, and performing minor mechanical repair.

Control inventory of materials.

Perform calculations for differing load size.

Report mechanical failures and/or material inconsistencies to supervisor.

Previous experience in operating various types of heavy equipment preferred, but not required.

Able to recognize various products by sight and to understand proper plant operation.

Ability to understand and follow instructions; function effectively as part of the team; ability to work under pressure; communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public.

Mechanical aptitude is desirable.

Pipe / Crew / Foreman

The Pipe crew is responsible for installing underground utilities, which vary in size from for residential, civil, and commercial projects.

Installation of the pipe includes positioning, joining, and aligning the pipes at proper depths, angles, and grades.

Assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes. Aligns pipes and seals joints together with cement or glue.
