Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Currently looking for a Licensed Mental Health Clinician that will provide evidenced-based treatment to veterans, particularly those who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan war, and their families. A PhD. or Psy.D in clinical or counseling psychology with a completed an internship/residency in professional psychology and 3 years working with adults, children, couples and families are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based treatment and assessment for veterans and their families.
  • Perform and document patient screenings, psychosocial assessments and progress and referral information.
  • Conduct clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed.
  • Provide individual, couples and family psychotherapy to patients, with focus on delivering evidence-based treatments.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with caregiver, physician, director, case management and other disciplines to provide best care to patients.
  • Attend weekly clinical supervision and administrative meetings.
  • Manage full caseload of veteran and family members and complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (within 48 hrs of appt.)

Requirements:

  • Veteran or military family member strongly preferred
  • Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited psychology program. Shall have completed an APA accredited internship/residency in professional psychology; or Master’s in social work and licensed to practice as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or Master’s in counseling and licensed to practice as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or Master’s in marriage and family therapy and licensed to practice as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • 3 years working with adults, children, couples, and families required
  • Knowledge of DSM-V diagnosis, PTSD diagnosis and treatment are required
  • Certification or documented proficiency in one or more of the following: EBPs: PE, CBT, and CPT are required.
  • Have and maintain current license to practice psychology, social work, counseling and/or marriage and family therapy.
  • Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as business dictates.
  • Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Employee should expect to work two evenings a week and some weekend days during the month to accommodate the schedules of the clients being served in addition to regularly scheduled hours.
  • Must not pose direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to safety or health of himself/herself or others.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel; PowerPoint and Access a plus. Strong math skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical services and community resources.
