Job Description

Easterseals Veteran Staffing Network (VSN) is a non-profit staffing agency, offering career coaching and job placement services to our nation’s veterans and military spouses. Join our dedicated team of recruiters, coaches, and support staff helping the military community find long-term meaningful employment.

Apply to the Account Manager position. Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients and veteran partners. Conduct outreach to other veteran and military service organizations in the community to promote VSN services. Promote VSN services directly to military-connected jobseekers.

Use your networking skills to develop current accounts and secure job openings for veterans and military spouses across the USA. Position requires 3+ years in project, account or contract-management and 2+ years in sales, outreach or business development.

 

The position is 100% remote, but the employee must reside within DC, MD, or VA.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Engaging Employers

  • Conduct quality assurance calls with existing clients (employers)
  • Participate in calls related to new business and calls to receive new job orders from clients
  • Provide outreach to previous clients who haven’t worked with the VSN recently
  • Use Salesforce to update and add contacts and enter information about activities
  • Assist in the development of workflow solutions for client marketing
  • Research potential prospects for new business development
  • Contact, schedule, and meet with prospective employers to develop positive relationships and offer staffing solutions
  • Explain the benefits of hiring veterans and military spouses
  • Explain the unique value of VSN and the employment support services provided by VSN
  • Explain the options and benefits of temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire staffing strategies
  • Monitor accounts and ensure the client is satisfied with VSN’s service
  • Arrange and conduct in-person meetings with key managers to senior-level executives of existing clients for the purpose of promoting VSN and fostering the relationship
  • Collect data from employers related to job orders including job requirements and skills; pass this info to the recruitment team
  • Conduct necessary follow-up and management when applicants are placed in positions
  • Reach back out to existing clients to get more business from them
  • Set and achieve weekly goals around the number of new client job orders generated

 

Engaging VSN MOU Partners

  • Conduct outreach calls with existing partners
  • Participate in calls related to partner events to promote VSN services
  • Provide outreach to promote Tuesday Talks, the My CareerToolkit app, and other services to job seekers
  • Use Salesforce to update and add contacts and enter information about activities
  • Assist in the development of workflow solutions for job seeker marketing
  • Research potential prospects for MOU partnership development
  • Find and attend outreach events; interact with jobseekers and represent VSN to partners, businesses and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain partnerships/contacts with area organizations who can provide jobseeker referrals or assistance.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong preference for US military veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, or a military spouse
  • Legally resides within DC, MD, or VA
  • 3+ years in project, account or contract-management
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities, duties and/or projects
  • 2+ years in sales, outreach or business development
  • Solid business management skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Possess strong communications, listening talent, organization and time management skills
  • Strong follow-up skills, motivation to earn new job orders through continuous effort
  • PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel).
  • Experience using CRM or other databases – Salesforce preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience strongly preferred
