Summary:

The Reno Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all the manufacturing personnel at our Reno Distribution Center.  This individual will be responsible for directing operations and coordinating production staff and equipment used for the manufacturing processes.  The person will establish and manage clear goals and objectives for personnel within the warehouse.  This person will need to be detail-oriented, have solid communication skills and be able to motivate staff.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·   Oversees the operational plan for assigned facility by engaging junior leaders to provide scheduled operational plans (including inbound, outbound, inventory control, slotting) to achieve expected CPU for designated period

·   Guides tactical operational decisions that enhance daily distribution performance and supports long term growth

·   Consistently challenges daily operational results to drive a ‘’continuous improvement” environment

·   Consistently evaluates how technology, processes and infrastructure are coordinated to achieve expected cost standards

·   Recommends changes to distribution processes and creates support documents that best communicate opportunities, risks, timing and cost savings

·   Collaborates with director of operations to forecast expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year

·   Collaborates with shared services departments to forecast inbound volume, order management and manufacturing (splicing) orders based on historical data

·   Provides daily, weekly and monthly results of cycle count activities and provides summary updates to director of operations along with recommendations as improvements are required

·   Reviews and reconciles monthly inventory adjustment summaries to identify inventory control deficiencies and develop appropriate resolution

·   Oversees all programs that support outbound order accuracy and drives initiatives that maintain order accuracy at 98.5 percent accurate

·   Provides daily, weekly and monthly results of outbound quality audits

·   Makes recommendations for process improvements that reconcile/repair outbound order inaccuracies

·   Reviews daily and monthly outbound order sales by product to support the most efficient slotting strategy within their distribution facility

·   Fulfills chairperson responsibility for all distribution facility safety related programs

·   Coordinates the development of a safety committee for their respective facility

·   Collects production and cost data to monitor daily cost per unit

·   Initiates, drafts and manages personnel improvement plans to support the development of associates and junior leaders who are not completely fulfilling assigned responsibilities

·   Maintains all safety related documentation (MSDS) for assigned facility

 

Qualifications:

·   Must have experience working with warehouse systems (Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Inventory Control Systems) and processes

·   Must be proficient in at least three of the following Microsoft Suite applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio

·   Experience working in a challenging environment

·   Experience leading a team by inspiring the team to achieve above standard goal

·   Proven background in creating, executing and reviewing plans for successful operations

 

Physical Demands:

Heavy Work involves exerting 50 - 100 pounds of force occasionally, or in excess of 50 pounds frequently or in excess of 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Frequent reaching and/or grasping using hands and/or arms.  Frequent use of hands requiring dexterity in using the telephone, computer keyboard, or other objects. Visual ability including distance, peripheral and depth perception. Regularly required to talk and hear.
