Operations Research Analyst - Data Analysis

Position Summary:
Versar is seeking a Journeyman Operations Research Analyst – Data Analysis to support the USCG Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) Business Operations Division (BOD).

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plan and provide analytical support for facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, business management techniques, and organizational development.
• Support USCG and ALC business process improvement and modernization projects.
• Develop modern business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
• Complete data collection, analysis, and experiment report development and preparation.
• Manage, analyze, and visualize data using statistical software, spreadsheet and graphic presentation software, and develop customized tools.
• Aid customer with executing decision analysis processes to prioritize events and develop reports.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must know SAS in order to qualify for this position.
• Three (3) years’ experience in operations research, or a related field, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following:
  1. Operations Research
  2. Industrial Engineering
  3. Business
  4. Engineering
  5. Information Systems Management
  6. Mathematics

And

• Working knowledge in at least three (3) of the following disciplines:
  1. Supply Chain Management
  2. Statistics
  3. Operations Research
  4. Program Management
  5. Constraint/Queuing Theory
  6. Mathematical Simulation Models
  7. Spares Optimization

Highly desired experience:

• Two (2) years of V-Metric, PTC Parts software, or similar applications
