Job Description

VermontBiz, Vermont's only business publication for over 50 years and the leading source for all business news in the state of Vermont is recruiting for an Marketing Professional / Account Executive. Sales responsibilities include Print, Digital and Special Event Sponsorships.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Work with an existing client base to generate and implement multimedia advertising campaigns
  • Grow existing client base by outreach and networking
  • Generate new business and negotiate contracts with clients
  • Develop partnerships with stakeholders and sponsors for various business community events
  • Attend & assist with the production of various business community events. Some of these events will take place outside of normal business hours.
  • Meet with client base on a regular basis throughout the work week (daily outreach required).
  • Generate weekly reports on outreach and closed business.
  • Ability to work within a strict sales timeline and maintain deadlines.
  • Manage contracts, paper work, contact lists, meeting notes, follow-up plans, renewals, invoices and orders.
  • Basic Excel skills required.

-This is a hybrid position with the majority of work being performed in an office setting.

-Some travel within VT is required to meet with clients and prospective clients

-Personal appearance, hygiene and clothing are important to our work practices. We ask that the candidate reflects professionalism.

-The normal workday is 8 hours including a paid lunch hour. Monday through Friday.

-Candidate will be required to work one weekend per calendar year to assist with a trade show.

Base salary PLUS commission.
