Customer Service Representative Job Description

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for performing various aspects of loan application review and processing in compliance with the code policies and guidelines. Interacts with customers to establish and maintain relationships with customers on behalf of the company while assisting them with their inquiries, concerns, and requests. Customer Service Representatives must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail. Possesses a strong work ethic and be empowered to solve problems independently and make decisions that are in the customer's best interest while adhering to the lenders’ requirements.

Customer Service Representative Qualifications

Minimum Required

  • Six months to one-year customer service experience.
  • Call center experience a plus.
  • Acknowledge and appropriately greet and assist every customer in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate competency in using computer.
  • Keyboarding proficiency and use of automated systems.
  • The Customer Service Representative will manage telephone calls professionally, efficiently and with good communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • The Customer Service Representative will attend to customer questions, complaints and concerns immediately, and facilitate satisfactory resolution.
  • The Customer Service Representative has the ability to thrive in a lively working environment and multi-task.
  • Interact professionally with other employees.
  • The Customer Service Representative will work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount and percentages.
  • Ability to define customers’ issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • The flexibility to work weekends and other varied shifts as assigned or mandatory overtime to meet. departmental deadlines if needed.
  • Flexible evening and weekend shifts are available.
  • Perform other job-related duties within the job scope as requested by management.
  • Bilingual candidates a plus!!

Customer Service Representative Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a standard office environment
  • Ability to use office equipment including computers, telephones, headsets, calculators, copiers, and fax machines
  • The Customer Service Representative has the ability to sit for long hours while using a binaural headset for long hours
  • Ability to input large amounts of data into computer software during work schedule

Education

Minimum Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
