Operations Finance Data Analyst

This position is designed to improve the availability of information, both financial and operational, at all levels of the Operations organization (Executive Leadership -> Line Supervisor). This role is responsible for leading the MicroStrategy analytical platform for the Operations team to enhance the decision-making process for our Operations Leadership Team. This position will enable our Operations & Finance business partners to drive actionable change to improve overall business performance.

This position will define, build, and manage KPIs for different roles within the Operations & Finance organization, providing business and technical team expertise to MicroStrategy users and consumers of data and analytics, including training users on new and existing features and reports. 

This position will be the liaison between IT analytics team and business users within the Operations & Finance team. 

• Build, enhance and support MicroStrategy dossiers for the business analysis needs within the Operations & Finance teams. Define and build KPIs and dashboards for various functions within the Operations team, including metrics related to safety, quality, finance, service, and efficiency. Convert data and information into actionable insights that can help our operations and finance business partners make smart and quick decisions.
• Partner with IT to improve/automate current financial systems, ensure data integrity and availability, and improve data collection procedures. Partner with the IT to integrate new data sources and validate incoming data sets.
• Be the liaison between IT Analytics and business users for the Operations & Finance teams, including communicating needs related to new analysis projects (e.g., data needs). Ensure the MicroStrategy platform is stable and reliable, and escalate and communicate issues as they arise. Provide relevant analytics communication highlighting business functionalities and improvements for IT improvement initiatives related to Analytics.
• Provide analytics and technical expertise on MicroStrategy to power users. Coordinate group and 1:1 training sessions for the Operations team, including manufacturing site leadership teams. 
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or similar equivalent experience required.
• 3-5 years of business analysis and technical experience of building, enhancing and supporting analytical reports. 
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in a major analytical platform strongly preferred (i.e. MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Experience with SQL and managing datasets within an enterprise data warehouse environment strongly preferred.
• Exposure or knowledge in ERP platforms (SAP, AS400, JDE) preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.

• Strong technical skills in the analytical platform (MicroStrategy, BI, MS Excel, etc.) required with the ability to help train and embed new systems and tools for commercial team's systems and analytical needs. 
• Ability to give/receive constructive feedback, influence, and lead a team-based approach to decision making.

• Salary Base Range of $85,400 – $109,000 for Employees Located in California*
